3. Think before thou speak.

It's funny how you catch others uttering their ideas or opinions either irrelevant or senseless towards the topic being discussed.

But it's even worse to have the opposite party bringing up sensitive issues or phrase their words in an offensive manner.

Jeremy :"I think that the Government really needs a change. It's too corrupted and old fashioned."

Francis: "Forget it, please use some brain of yours. No matter what you do, it's not going to change the Government."

Before Jeremy could elaborate on his ideas or suggestions on what could be done to support his topic, he was ridiculed and insulted. I've met several few who are really good at such words, good at offending and putting down the other person's opinion or idea. Be it a conscious or subconscious effect, that person emits negative energy, so why bother talking to the person if you're not looking forward to be ridiculed and mocked?

4. Gossip.

I did wrote a long post about this quite a long time ago. So if you want a full write up on it, just refer to my old post.

To make it brief, when you catch someone gossiping about others, what makes you think that person doesn't gossip about you?

Would you seek that person for personal council or help in your troubles?

5. Observation.

Please please please. Learn to observe body language/gestures.

If it's obvious that the other party shows lack of dislike in the topic being discussed, by all means change the topic accordingly. Insisting on the topic without an interesting approach would only kill the person's mood in socializing with you.

In fact, there are 4 types of people.

a. Dominator : A person who likes to dominate the other person by strong approaches such as increasing the volume of his/her speech, aggressive phrases or words or very imposing body language.

b. Promoter : "It's all about me". This type of person loves to get all the attention possible by promoting, mainly about him/herself. Many empty facts, talks or rumours so that he/her to obtain the spotlight. Very high self-esteem.

c. Supporter : This person agrees with you almost everything you say. Nodding his/her head most of the time and always giving you a pat on your back telling you that you have his/her support. Doesn't go against your thoughts or ideas and accept them without proper consideration. Can be seen to have more low self-esteem.

d. Analyzer : Analyzes the topic being discussed with proper facts and credible statements. Listening more than speaking. Has the tendency to rub their chin to decipher opinions and thoughts being thrown during discussion.

Do not get it wrong though, a person may have a hybrid of 2 or more personalities as shown above. So go figure out which personalities you have and whether it's helping you socialize with others well.

From what i comprehend of this essential skill in life, it amuses me and my brother at moments when individuals are not aware of what it really means to sharpen your social skills.

Do you measure by the number of contacts in your circle?

The amount of time spent with different groups of people?

Or, perhaps, being occupied with activities all the time?

I would like to draw your attention to a more narrow perspective. To a simple conversation. In my objective of having good social skills in a conversation is simple :

- Able to listen, decipher, consider and then respond accordingly.
- Able to share your fair share of experiences and point of view with proper consideration of the other party's feelings.
- To establish good contact or improved relationship with the person by the end of the day.

However, over and over again, it never cease to occur that all these simple objectives will be swept away with individuals suffering from several social sickness symptoms.

1. SAS (Short Attention Span) : Unable to focus and establish proper dialogues with an individual or a group of individuals in an appropriate manner.

Allow me to illustrate.

John : Hey, Allen! Would like to ask about yesterday's assignment.
Allen : Yeah, sure, go ahead.
John : Alright. About page 48, you know where it requires to express our . .

(Maria cuts in abruptly)

Maria : Allen! How are you!? I heard that you were going to participate in the event this friday!
Allen : Oh you heard? Yeah, I'll be there, it's going to be really fun ... (continues)

Just imagine how would John feel ? o.o' Just a moment ago, he was trying to establish a proper dialogue with Allen but Maria just had to interrupt the contact and prioritize her social need. Allen on the serious note, is suffering from SAS. He obviously knew that John was talking to him earlier but he couldn't ask Maria to give him a moment to reply to John.

2. "I Shall Speak Whenever I Like."

This disease comes in various ways; the concept is the same at the end of the day. They just can't help it, they need to be heard, they need to speak, more importantly, they can't just listen. It's different when you hear, and when you Actually Listen. Listening requires more mental energy, focus and attention. You can't decipher information by just hearing them, you need to listen and grasp what the other person is actually SAYING.

Sounds easier than it looks huh?

The problem usually lies with the fact that the individual isn't interested to listen to begin with. He/She just want to be heard. Not hidden away from the "noise". They either speak LOUDER, insist on the same point in different ways or exactly the same sentence, end up talking to themselves or share their "wise" point of view at every possible opportunity. Thing is, that's not going to make you look sociable, it only makes it look the exact opposite.

I like this quote from Bleach (anime), where Aizen Sousuke said this,

"It's different when you admire someone than actually understanding that someone."

Something like that .. But anyhow, the point is, if you're looking for some to admire you and think, " He/She's the bomb!" That isn't actually socializing, that's just a temporary hype and amazement which people would just move on knowing that you're actually no one unique or extraordinary. People are actually seeking to understand and to be understood. It's a mutual understanding.

Working in Berjaya Times Square isn't the ideal place for a conducive environment in terms of providing service based jobs.

Perhaps, not for me.

For PJ peeps, it's a close up and personal observation of the other "side" of Malaysians.

Where the community spits, utter vulgar language and draws out their cigarette bud wherever they like. Of course, over the years, the numbers of "them" has decreased but still, it's a plain ugly sight when they exhibit their immoral codes and values.

Is it just education or ethics? Or both?

The simplest things in everyday life, giving way when someone wishes to cut to the other lane when you're driving, queuing up for your turn when you're trying to buy a ticket, pressing the open button at the lift when someone is trying to enter before the lift door closes ..

There was a survey conducted here in Malaysia by foreigners, listing us as the world's top 5 rudest countries. Sure, there may be some flaws and loopholes in the survey but still, it shows Malaysia's moral codes and conducts. And for crying out loud, we're not a 3rd world country, we're a developing country. There's a huge difference in classifying ourselves and thinking that "It's okay lah." and continue doing what you've been doing.

The LRT system alone is so complicated, a 3rd world nation can't afford to hire foreign engineers and architects to construct something like that. Don't mention the Petronas Twin towers or Maxis for instance, these sort of industries wouldn't exist if have hardcore poverty on a LARGE scale.

The community has their fair share of responsibility to educate and install proper values and ethics into the minds of their children. However, from a bigger picture, it's the government that governs the people of the country. And the government needs a change.

So please, manipulate your education and VALUES, if you have any (I pray that you do), and make a change.

In 20 years of my life, I've never seen so much pain in someone before.

I really thanked my brother for being there for me and cared for me with all his heart. What i'm doing right now, hardly match up for the things he's done for me, but I would still proceed with it.

There are many type of parents in this globe that we live in.

Not too long ago, I read an article from The Star, mentioning that parents do not have a course or a guide to qualify them as parents. Gary mentioned that there should be institution to guide parents on how to be a good parent. Probably we should be one too.

In life, before we actually want to guide someone, mentor, teach or be a role model to wrap it all, we must question ourselves, how much do our life values, belief and principles weigh against the world? Or in fact, do we have any of those?

Do we have a personal deep philosophy of life that we hold strongly to and would want others to look at life the same way you do?

If we can hardly take good care of ourselves, to know that we're matured enough, emotionally stable enough, how can we even guide or influence others?

It's true that life is a never ending, learning journey. But there is a point in life where you come to a stable sense of reasoning, of having your personal values and belief and would want to live life to it's fullest.

There is a difference in being a parent and a guardian. A parent would pour love on to their child, guide them to understand life and understand them in every possible way. To be there for them when they're hurt and to protect them from danger. To get to know their potential life partner, to see whether he/she suits your child (considering the fact that if you really know your child well) and then show support in all ways possible.

Sometimes, it amazes me that certain individuals can be so numb and hard headed that they just don't know why are they even living life for.

I just need prayers for them right now.

Frankly speaking, I really enjoy Craig's bond, although I've never seen the earlier ones before. Yet if compared to Pierce's, Craig's bond appeals to me more.

More realistic, vulnerable and logical in many ways.

However, for Quantum, it's rather short for a bond movie. The final showdown was quite a letdown as alot of anticipation was built.

Oh and just for your information, the total amount of budget for all the bond movies is $1,098,000,000.

But in return of all that investment, is $11,615,711,960.

Would really want to watch the old ones now, it'll be fascinating.

Ever since my mum was introduced to the internet, she started cultivating some interest in the activities offered there.

And the activities I meant was ..

Well downloading really old songs (which adds an interesting variety to the winamp) and checking her e-mails on a really consistent basis.

But there's one more thing she really enjoys doing too, forwarding them.

So she always forwards e-mails to anyone she knows and that includes me too, frankly speaking, I don't really read forwarded mails, unless the header of the e-mail is too captivating to be missed.

Which then leads to my random behavior of giving the e-mail to be read .. or not to be read.

Apparently, I made a wise decision by doing so today.

Last year, when Kai xian came back, we had a meal at pizza hut. One of the customers made a really interesting tower at the salad bar that it caught our attention immediately. We were joking that he must be an architech who can't stop his passion even when it comes to food. Maximizing the profit he can earn by the concept offered by pizza hut and so on. We took pictures of it by requesting their permission when he's done and we were really impressed.

But guess what, the e-mail my mum forwarded to me .. is 10 time more imba(imbalance) than what we witnessed that night,

When Times are hard

Remember when your parents tell you tales of how hard they went through when they're young? "Exceptional for those parents are taukehs of gold shops and so on"

Well, for one, shirts and pants that I bought from petaling street.. say almost 3-4 years back? i'm still wearing them. They're getting torn and even my best piece has a hole in it now. Cost of living is getting higher, thanks alot Govt.. :D

But in this times .. isn't the worse yet.

It's like suddenly the government is rising the petrol to RM100.00 per litre. (although i don't drive)
It's like going to the prom 8 times in a week. (interesting huh?)
It's like a random stranger walks to you and say "Can borrow RM500? Return you tommorow".

Jokes aside, glad that he's coming back, a VERY logical childhood friend who won't fail to provide a ball of fun :)

Ignorance and Ignoring.

It was too compelling. I had to write it all out to express what's running on my mind.

I believe certain individuals would say that politics are for older people. Certain would say politics are dirty, and they rather stay out of it. Certain would say their simplicity of mind cannot grasp the complexity of politics, so they rather save their effort and time from understanding politics.

I understand that my blog's coverage is insignificant. But still, I would like to abide in my principles.

What I'm trying to express, is my frustration and disappointment in Malaysia's youth.

Just a few months back, during the March Election 2008, my lecturer questioned the class in KDU, mass comm course, people who communicate with the masses, his question was this,

"When you have your rights to vote, would you take the effort to register and practise your rights?"

None put up their hands.

The other day while I was working, my colleagues were having a short talk about politics and they were arguing about which flag represents which party. One of them at my age couldn't even be sure whether the "japanese" looking flag was PKR or PAS.

And I strongly believe, many don't understand what NEP is all about. Or about Permatang Pauh.. maybe perhaps about Ahmad Ismail.

I may not be a politic analyst, but I don't have to be one to do research and understand the importance and seriousness of politics in this land.

Sept 16th, Anwar's self imposed date of overthrowing the current ruling Government and NONE of my contacts on MSN is even a little concerned about it. Well, except for Ean and my gf. I doubt the excuse of ISA would come and arrest is the reason they did not mention anything.

Is it ignorance? Or simply the fact that they couldn't be bothered?

We're talking about possibilities of riots and fights. We're talking about possibilities that there could be drastic actions taken to restrict the movement of the opposition which could result in locking us away at home. We're talking about the nation's economy instability which leads to less job opportunities.

I plea that the likes of me, the Intellectuals, blessed with rich education, do your role. Many who suffer in poverty are oppressed and are not given the equal opportunity to be educated, it's comprehensive if they succumb to corruption and ignorance. But we who are blessed with education but chose to use it for personal gain, is truly unforgivable.

I dare say to those who choose to escape and refuse to face the hard times in our very own country, I can't help but to lose my respect to you as a friend, as a proud citizen of Malaysia. So many individuals sacrificed and gave their all to make this country harmonious and strong and by running away, you've put their effort into the depths of abyss.

Don't forget, we ARE the leaders of tomorrow. What we do and think influences the next generation which equates the future of this country. It is all gain to know about your country's politics and all lost if you don't. In the bigger picture, that is.

Malaysians Go to Taiwan Amid Strife

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — The Malaysian ruling party flew more than a third of government lawmakers to Taiwan on Monday in a hastily arranged trip, ostensibly to study farming techniques.

But the trip was widely interpreted as a desperate government effort to try to stop lawmakers from shifting their support to Anwar Ibrahim.

Mr. Anwar, the country’s most prominent opposition figure, won re-election to Parliament last month after a 10-year absence and needs 30 more seats to oust the current government and form his own. His National Justice Party is openly wooing members of the ruling coalition.

Salehuddin Hashim, the National Justice secretary general, called the trip a “kidnapping” meant to protect the coalition, Barisan National, or National Front, which has ruled Malaysia for 51 years but is fracturing.

“This has obviously nothing to do with agriculture,” Mr. Salehuddin said. “It’s a very clear sign of the anxieties and insecurities inside Barisan.”

Top officials have dismissed the challenge by the opposition as unrealistic. But they have also publicly asked government lawmakers to sign pledges of allegiance to the ruling coalition.

Officials insisted Monday that the weeklong trip by about 50 members of Parliament was strictly for study purposes.

“We are going to Taiwan to study about agriculture,” Bung Mokhtar Radin, a member of Parliament from the eastern state of Sabah, told Reuters. “There’s nothing political about this trip.”

But Tricia Yeoh, director of the Center for Public Policy Studies, a Malaysian research group, said the trip would give Barisan officials an opportunity to try to dissuade potential defectors. “The Barisan government is really grasping at straws,” she said.

It's interesting to read both Tun's blog and Anwar's blog about the current political scene. Wonder why we don't have a Badawi's blog. That way at least we know roughly what's on our PM's mind, to be confident and proud to be under his leadership.

A&W horrible language proficiency

I'm writing this post regarding the branch at 1-Utama.

As written earlier, I shall resume my Ripple Effect Series.

It's such a shame that in other countries, fast food restaurants are known for having standards such as their quality of food and services.

As consumers, one of the most vital aspect in a F&B business is communication. Restaurants need to communicate with us as consumers to know what we want devour for the day. Otherwise, we might as well go to 7-11 and grab a maggi mee hot cup.

It's forgivable if the employee at the counter is new and has difficulty coping with the orders of the consumer.

It's forgivable if the neighbouring employee is also new and couldn't help much to understand what the consumer is trying to order.

BUT, it's not forgivable if every single employee in the branch cannot understand what you're trying to order. What worse, the manager is not at his/her position to ensure that everything is going according to what a consumer expect to experience in a restaurant - a decent customer service.

You speak to them in english, they speak to you back in malay.

"Hi, i'm dining in."

"Oh okay. You nak order set mana?"

You can seriously try to insist them on speaking english, but to no avail.

" I would like to order a mozza burger set."

"You nak regular atau large?"

Frustrating as it is, if that's not bad enough, what happened to me and my gf was that the portion they gave us was ridiculously little. At least, not according to how much we paid for.

"Can you adjust the portion of the fries? It's too little."

"Apa? You nak order extra fries?"

"No, I'm requesting that you add more fries because it's too little. It's not what I paid for."

They would start putting their fingers on the machine, preparing to key in "one more regular fries".

It's frustrating enough that you cannot communicate with a toddler and want the toddler to cooperate with you on certain requests.

But it's a catastrophe to not able to communicate what you want to an ADULT on SIMPLE requests.

I urge my readers, please take that bold step to make a change. If they do not get you what you want, DON'T LET THEM compromise your requests!

Insist they you want to see the manager or someone who can actually understand english. Make sure you get what you paid for. Stop having that mindset of "It's malaysia lah, what to do.. nothing can be done about it.."

It's due to this mindset that our customer service in Malaysia is never improving but always deteriorating.

Parliament: Cyber cafes to close by midnight soon

KUALA LUMPUR: All Internet and cyber cafes will have to close by midnight daily when new guidelines to control theses businesses are enforced soon, said Deputy Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Hamzah Zainuddin.

He said operators of such cafes would also banned from using tinted glasses in their premises under the new rules.

“Operators must ensure that their shops can be see through from the outside,” he said, adding that this was to ensure that no illegal activities were carried out in the premises.

He said operators of Internet cafes would also only be allowed to operate from the ground floor buildings, adding that the new guidelines would be issued to all local authorities soon.

“Under the revised rules, those below 12 years old must be accompanied by their parents or guardian and they will only allowed to stay in such centres until 10pm,” he told reporters at the Parliament lobby Monday.

He said the guidelines had been drawn up and were ready to be enforced at anytime but did not state when the enforcement would begin.

Hamzah said Internet cafes, which offered Internet facilities, and cyber cafes, where food and beverages were also allowed to be sold, would be banned from providing gaming activities, gambling, pornography and music and publications with negative elements.

“Both cigarettes and alcohol will also be prohibited from being sold or consumed at these premises,” he said.

Hamzah said operators would also be required to keep a book to record the entry and departure time of their patrons.

He said it had been found that some students had played truant by changing their uniforms and visiting Internet and cyber cafes during school hours.

“We will also issue warning to operators who allow students, who skip classes, in to their centres as this had been getting out of hand lately,” he said.

Hamzah said local authorities would blacklist those who did not comply with the guidelines.

“Their names will be sent to all local authorities and they will not be allowed to open such business again in any part of the country,” he said.

The most absurd part about the entire article is this,

Why?

It's indicating that, games like Counter Strike, CoD4 and DotA is prohibited in Cyber Cafes. That's weird, didn't I just posted about ESWC 2008?

Might as well ban all imports of games and music with "negative elements"?

I hope what Gary said about the Government going lenient with their ruling takes place as usual.

"It's only temporary."

The time, energy and money spent on this could be put on MUCH better use such as trying to lower down the crime rates around the country.

Poking their noses into the gaming community isn't something I'll tolerate. Ridiculous ruling equals no votes for the current party. I know this is something repeated over and over again, but I'll ensure that gamers will have their say heard loud and clear.

ESWC 2008 Malaysia

Going to sidetrack on the Ripple Effect Series, as for the last 3 days, I've been attending the ESWC (Electronic Sports World Cup) 2008 of Malaysia in 1 Utama near the Oval.

Games such as Warcraft III, The Frozen Throne (TFT), DotA (Defense of the Ancients) and Counter Strike (CS) were held there. Sadly, for the spectators, it's a whole lot of standing up with your legs in order to get a decent view of the players gaming.

Numerous occasions, cameras was pointed at me and so I assume that my face would appears somewhere in the media. In fact, they interviewed me on my opinion about the entire event. Mostly positive remarks, only one negative remark which they would most probably erase/crop off from the interview video.

The cameraman looked at me, and suddenly he actually move the camera's view to wherever I pointed earlier. That was really unexpected.

Through it all, it was really worth the 3 days trip there.

1. Picked a few good stuffs as in interesting tactics and skills from good matches played.
2. Able to know the current level of Malaysia's best. Or at least according to ESWC.
3. FREEBIES.

3 Webcams (not all are shown at the picture) which me, Li Her(my gf) and Gary got.
1 Digital Cam which noob Jin Min doesn't want and gave it to me.
1 MP3 which Gary found on the floor.(And mind you, it's brand new. Still in the package)
1 Warcraft III BattleChest for answering a freebie giving out session. (ORIGINAL SOFTWARE FTW)

That would make a total worth of around .. Almost RM300 I'd say.

Oh, and KS (KingSurf) defended their reigning title of Malaysia's No.1 DotA clan. Personal congratulations to them. They'll be representing Malaysia for the Grand Finals in San Jose, California, USA in August. All the best!

For those who actually take a close look on what me and Gary have been working on, we're still working on the fundamentals of the business.

After all, being the pioneer have it tougher when it comes to trials and errors.

Meanwhile, I managed to upgrade my video editing skills. Not a drastic one, but sufficient enough to notice the difference of quality compared to the previous videos I've made.

We're searching for a steady crew to work with. To share the same vision as we do and willing to give it all to achieve great heights.

Especially those who are familiar in the IT aspect. Web designing, Flash and so on.

Tears were shed and the "test of relationship" was canceled.

We made apologies to each other over the silly things we said and thought of during the period of silence.

I was only to realize the reason I could not utter "I love you" whole heartedly was simply the reason of guilt in my heart. The guilt of hiding very important to her.

I won't reveal it here, it's rather personal :)

A little revisit

The casting wasn't much.

But if compared to the previous 2 ads, this was a little simple. They only ask me to introduce myself and present a few facial expressions.

And then, I decided to walk home. The location was at Jalan17/22, so it would take around 20 minutes walk back.

However, on the way back, I decided to do a detour.

I wanted to have a good look at my primary school, SRJK (C) Damansara.

After everything that happened, they're still fighting to reopen the school. Meanwhile, looking back at the days of my primary school, everything haven't change much at the neighbourhood nearby. The only thing that changed is the scenery they have to view on a daily basis. All the sky scrappers which was erected just a kilometer away became the background of the neighbourhood itself.

Didn't take the pictures down though. Should had done so.

This is where I used to wait for my bus.

I do plan to sneak in and really take a proper tour around my primary school. This short tour doesn't reveal much.

Do pray for me that I get the opportunity to cast for KCF's TVC. Then you'll be able to see me on television!

Test of Relationship

To all my readers.

I'm declaring that from 11 June 2008 onwards, there will be a 3 months non-communication with my girl friend. It would officially end, on September 11, 2008.

The objective of this is to put our relationship to the test. Side reasons are that I would also want to clear some confusions and doubt about myself.

Do not misinterpret. We're still together, as a couple.

As a promise to each other, we would do quiet time on a daily basis and would not miss service on sundays for the Holy Communion. We pray and hope to receive directions and the wisdom to decide from God as well.

Meanwhile, I got a casting from KFC. Pray that this would be an opportunity to earn some good money.

So I decided to, well, make sure that I look more presentable on the camera.

I followed her last few advices, especially regarding on cosmetics. She would spend literally hours on checking forums updating herself about cosmetics coming from Taiwan.

She gave me this product to remove stubborn black heads. It was aim at your nose, but she gave me a specific advice to do on the entire face.. so I did.

It does prove to be effective in certain ways.

The problem with that treatment is that my hair gets glued to it.

Anyhow, would let you all know about my experience on casting. Actually tried for Mcdonald's Prosperity Burger and Vanilla Coke. Both failed.

A sudden leap from RM1.90 to RM2.70 (not accurate).

And by August, it would be RM4.00. That would approximately cost a Proton Wira owner to pay RM150 to pump full tank of fuel.

Speculations were made.

Some say that this is how politicians get back at the public. Some say it would be the inefficiency of the Government.

Some say this would do good in the bigger picture.

It would always be an undeniable fact that petrol, would eventually deplete. It is utterly inevitable.

It is also undeniable that Malaysians generally have a high tendency in taking things for granted. In this case, it is petroleum.

Enough for the introduction, time for the main issues.

1.Transportation is universal. It has a vicious chain reaction to everything.

2.Cost of living has increased, it's either you save more or earn more.

3.It is predicted that traffic would decrease tremendously by August.

4.Owners of the petroleum business would have to channel their capital to other industries.

5.People would travel less, which includes air flights.

6.The Government claims to set the subsidy on other sectors. Let's hope it would be a wise move.

7.Last highlight, it's a great wake up call, from God Himself.

Earlier today, I was conversing with my cousin's boyfriend. He's a car enthusiast. And true enough, the passion remains burning to continue investing into his interest. Individuals like him, gets it the most when events like this occurs. The car industry will never be the same.

I do agree with what my friend mentioned. We need to churn income from other nations. We need to continue encourage the mindset of "Earn more, spend more" and not "Save more, spend less".

Oh and yes, perhaps the bicycle industry here might actually have a great pool of business.

You've invested hundred thousands into the industry and response from the public is enormous. Players from all over the world are embracing it with open arms.

Everything was going on a smooth sail for years, until suddenly, the Authorities decided to shut down your business entirely, including all your outlets supplying any services related to this sport.

For the past few weeks, the E-Games community has been attacked and invaded. The sudden actions from the authorities sent out mysterious and suspicious motives among gamers.

It started out with Damansara Jaya, and then Subang Jaya got totally wiped out. Not a single cyber cafe was spared at that area.

The Authorities do not comprehend the seriousness of this matter. This is a huge stumbling block to the progress and future of E-Gaming, IN Malaysia.

Just to share some interesting information with my readers,

What are parents to tell us something that we know of crystal clearly while they are at somewhere else instead of the cyber cafe? If they want to judge, please come by for a few days and have a good look, do you see drug addicts and gang fights occurring at cyber cafes?

I wish to represent on the behalf of all gamers in Malaysia to the Authorities, do you want to create a conducive environment for gamers to grow or become a stumbling block to our growth? On the global scale, we Malaysians are trying hard to reach up the international standard of gaming and all this isn't helping a single bit.

Which parent likes to admit they have weaknesses?

Which parent doesn't want to display the "ideal" role model of being a good citizen and being that successful person in life?

It's okay for them to interrogate you and present all your weaknesses and negative traits but it's not okay for us to point out theirs?

Gary always emphasize to me the importance of "mutual understanding".

Be it pampering you with a silver spoon or giving you an endless period of torment, if there's no mutual understanding, true communication cannot take place.

I read an article quite some time back. It was mentioning about parents who does not have some sort of institute or school to teach them what a standard parent should be. They do not have a manual that falls from the sky which guides them what a parent should do and should not do. But for those who are not believers of Christianity, isn't life's like that?

Individuals learn through experiences and knowledge obtained in life. But every individual have their own unique perspectives and thoughts. What may seem precious and valuable to you might not be the same for the other.

Certain parents ensures that their children takes over their ambition due to the fact that they could not achieve it themselves. But we are exposed to the content of the media that creates an awareness that children shouldn't be chasing your dreams, they should be chasing theirs. Furthermore, they need every aspect of support they can get from the parents - be it emotionally or financially.

Of course, I've heard a fair share of stories and tales from other friends of parents who upset them but they also show their weaknesses and ask their children to forgive and understand them. From what I see, it's an initiative.

If this discussion was held back when I was 15 or 16, by all means, I can still comprehend.

Thing is, discussions like these are still occurring around me today.

Would a parent calling you up to find out where their son/daughter went while you're 20 years old seems rather exaggerated to you, or it happens to you all the time?

People say, the key issue about parenting is - Trust.

Once the child breaks it, even while very young, the parents find it hard to buy their words. On a personal aspect, I broke that trust. I lied to go to cyber cafe when I was only 13, but everyone else was going and it was so much fun going there. Ever since I became a Christian, through God's guidance, I managed to heal that crack of trust between me and my parents.

It took me time, but it did earn their trust. To let them know what sort of friends I'm mixing with and the activities that I do. It's far from drinking, smoking or taking drugs. Everything else was least of their concern.

After 17, the word "curfew" don't exist anymore in my vocabulary. But it's until I meet certain friends who bring up that word, I was appalled.

"You've got to be kidding me, curfew?"

For the past 3 days, i watched Prince Caspian twice.

And after watching it twice, it still hasn't portray the epic feeling compared to L.O.T.R. I haven't read the book yet, by C.S Lewis.

About writing a full review on it, i think i'll reserve my energy on that. After discovering that my readers are frightened after reading my "warning", I'll just let them be the judge for themselves.

Oh and yes, for those who really wants to know the song title for the second last song at the end of the movie, you can find it at my juke box, the first song that is being played. "The Call" by Regina Spektor.

And I must mention this, my gf has the tendency to over react to element of surprises. The scene where Prince Caspian and Peter clashed at the first time in the woods, the sound effects was so overwhelming, she flung her hand ~~so hard~~ in the intention to wrap her arms around me that it knocked the starbucks she bought earlier into the cinema which was placed at the drink holder spilled all over me.

I practically smelled like starbucks throughout the movie until i got home..

On the business aspect, me and gary decided to divert our focus into an industry that we truly feel passionate about.

We're planning to change not only the local scene but the whole world's perspective towards the gaming industry. I'm still trying to be inspired for the logo of the company while working on a few things about the idea.

And i've made my first video with camcorder. Thing is, I can't seem to upload it to Youtube. 400mb is the entire size of the video.. It's about the tournament held in Tbun, COD4 (Call of Duty 4) was the game.

Motivation?

Hikaru No Go! That's the name of this Japanese Animation. Been watching it with my gf for the past few weeks despite the fact that I've already watched this anime before a long time ago.

"What's it about?"

It's actually Japanese Chess, named "Go".

"-_-' Chess? An anime about chess..?"

I'm not sure how many of you have actually watched this anime before, but the crew behind this anime sure did a good job. It appeals to me as I'm impressed to witness the passion and dedication of the characters in the anime towards a game of Japanese Chess.

Of course, there's always a main character. Hikaru's his name and he met a spirit that committed suicide thousand years ago when he used to teach the Emperor to play Go. This spirit will guide and mentor Hikaru to become Japan's best Go player.

Don't mind the english dub. The japanese one is much better.

The anime has its fair share of humour, seriousness and thrill.

I wouldn't demand that you must watch this anime, just that how's it related to me in my life is that I never get to actually commit myself to a certain sport or field that requires me to have that much dedication and focus. Somehow or another, it always turn out to be an all-rounder.

This anime would keep pushing you subconsciously, "Go Pro!". As in keep yourself focused to become a real professional, where others acknowledge you and respect you for your passion in whatever you're doing.

Oh btw, the anime actually belongs to Hazren, so credit goes to him. Borrowed it since form 4..

Business Aspect :

Working on some recipes especially on the beverages. Manage to have some interesting concepts to attempt. Meanwhile, a shop lot right behind my house is available for renting. It used to be some film editing office. Anyhow, seems like an opportunity for the business to have some proper rooting.

Personal Life Aspect :

My very first camcorder. IS COMING SOON! Now I can really start on enhancing my blogging experience. I hope it'll be likewise for my audience.

Nothing too fancy, yet I've couldn't ask for more. RM2500 at Digital Mall. Comes with batts, pouch and a RM200 worth tripod.

Last Saturday, went for Yoke Yan's early bday party. It was good to meet up with some of the du'rians. My apologies, no images was taken then. It'll be rather odd for me to draw out my phone and start snapping pictures over there anyways. A personal gratitude to Yoke Yan for the party. Allow me to break this down in brief points.

Plot/Storyline - This section will be judged base on the reality of the plot as well as how wide the spectrum of audience does it appeals to.

Tony Stark, a multi billionaire, taking over his father's empire of "Stark Industries", the world's largest weapon manufacturer, got kidnapped by an anonymous terrorist and demands him to build his latest invention of destruction but only ends up building an armoured suit to escape from captivity. He later on designs the final structure of the suit and would utilize it to defend the innocent and redeem his past actions.

Review : As well all know, Iron man the comic from Marvel has exist since a long way back. He is the familiar figure in the midst of the audience and people identify him as a superhero. The reality of the plot in our lives does has its fair share of relevance. Technologies beyond imagination exists in a billionaire's life, furthermore of having avid interest in technology himself. The moral values of the plot as well as its other elements of the movie would suffice to attract majority of movie-goers.

Flow of Movie - This will be judged base on the flow of the entire movie, from the introduction until the end. The purpose of conveying the plot as well as avoid stirring confusion in the audience. Keeping the audience glued to the screen without making the audience feel that the movie is monotonous would score high in this section.

Review : The trailer did a good job on conveying the plot of the movie and there were no difficulty in grasping the idea of the plot. The mysteries that were displayed at the introduction was clarified clearly at the end and it wouldn't require an expert to decipher or interpret on how they revealed it. Personally, I felt entertained throughout the movie as the humour, action and drama fits in well. It didn't feel jumpy, draggy or disturbing.

CG (Computer Graphics) - Judged base on the animation skills and how well the animation fits into the scenes of the movie.

Review : For a movie that has many animated scenes, I must say, I'm impressed. Although this may be coming from a non-animator individual, I have no complaints of, "Wah, that was obviously animated .. ". The animated effects really build the hype of watching him in the suit instead of the man himself. Other scenes such as during Tony was utilizing his gadgets and computers in his lab, it was animated so well, it was as if you could purchase one of those and put it at your room. Well, of course, if you would take a closer look you can tell that the scene is animated and hence it's given a 8/10.

Scripting - This section is judged base on the script of the characters and the relevance of the script with the character.

Review : By far, the script to each characters did a good job in portraying who they are and didn't sound weird when they uttered every word. Each script also fits into the scenes and I had no problem comprehending or interpreting their script and how it tells the story.

Acting - Judged base on the acting skills of the actors/actresses in the movie.

Review : World renowned actors such as Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts and Terrence Howard as Jim Rhodes, one would expect no problems of the actors and actresses in portraying their character well in the movie. Extra credit goes to Gwyneth as she met my expectations of her high profile in the Hollywood industry. A job well done!

SFX/Background music - This section is judged base on the relevance of the sound effects and the background music along with the scenes.

8/10

Review : No complaints about this section. All sound effects and background music fitted in well. However, there is always room for improvement.

Drama - Judged base on how dramatic the entire movie is.

Review : Besides the earlier part of Tony Stark with his new found friend during captivity, this movie wouldn't be teary through out. Of course, certain scenes can be dramatized but it all depends on the intention of the director.

Action/Choreography - Judged base on action and choreography of the fighting scenes.

Review : You must be thinking, "6 out of 10? It's Iron Man.. Not Peace Man, what's up with the score?" Fred not, Iron Man is still super cool. The choreography during his first encounter with his final design with the enemy was really good. Enjoyed every single second. After all, they built so much anticipation about it, I strongly believe every audience open their eyes wide just to grasp every single second of it. "Then what's the problem?" The problem is, the final showdown, was a letdown. After the long break of non-fighting scenes in between, the least they could do is a full fledged battle between Iron Man and the boss. It could definitely have a much better choreography in that final battle scene. Hope they would redeem it in the next sequel!

Humour - Judged base on how funny/hilarious the entire movie is.

Review : Well, this movie's humour is mostly slapstick and would make the audience laugh with most of its jokes. After all, any movie that can make Ean Jay Chan laugh, definitely has a good sense of humour in it.

Inspirational/Influential - Judged base on how much the movie would inspire or influence the thoughts/actions after watching the movie. Also judge base on how long would the effect last.

Review : *Raises up arm and aims it at a car.. * Well, due to the hype from the publicity for many months, this movie would stick into the audience's head quite a while. In terms of inspirational value, it has its fair share. Issues about what money can do to a person and regaining one's conscience after so many events and actions as well as having your trust towards the people around you.

Conclusion : A must watch! I wouldn't say that this movie would make you go for a round 2, but it's subjective. As for me, if a friend has not watch it yet and would want to watch it with me, I would go for a "yes".

Dedicated to "hopeless".

"Wah, opening a restaurant ah? Tough lor.. I tell you first, very hard to succeed one lah.. "

Those were the words from my cousin, whom me and my twin brother and business partner "Gary" brought up the topic about us opening a restaurant to him.

Thing is, those words aren't constructive or helpful in any way, he's just stating something that we already know before we even start venturing into this business.

Sometimes, it's difficult to find individuals with a positive mindset and more importantly, a critical and analytical mindset, imparting wise words with a distinctive motive.

About God, it's actually not too complicated.

A few illustrations to help my readers.

Life itself, covers everything you're in involved in. That includes where you're heading after death, which is obviously inevitable.

Be it marrying a rich life partner, excelling in your academic subjects, being the top athlete in the Olympics, doing missionary work, baking the world's largest cake, ranting and complaining about how difficult life is, attempt to commit suicide, devouring on sand and moss to continue surviving, spending several thousands on pampering your pet .. which of course involves becoming a successful entrepreneur is just the tip of the iceberg of what life truly is.

By mentioning that business and having cancer is 2 separate things, simply well, just don't make sense. Successful entrepreneurs have to keep watch of their health and have a clear mind to focus on their business, which also equates having a good EQ.

Yes it is true, we as Christians, devote our entire life to God. In non-believers terms, we "sold" our soul to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

We choose to confess and admit that we can't control our lives and make it the way we want to be. We can't force nature to bend on our terms and demand more base on our own capabilities. We also can't deny the fact that sin corrupts our soul and ends up hurting everyone else, including ourselves.

Stating that I leave everything plainly to God, it's just hilarious the fact that just a few posts back, I was sharing my struggles and perspectives on the experiences of setting up a stall at my old school. It wasn't easy, serving drinks to your juniors as well as trying to tackle such a saturated market.

I urge my readers once more, I'm grateful the fact that you do stop by and take a look at what I wish to share. However, please take in these philosophies,

a) " Be wise with your words. It reflects who you are. "

b) " Never be too soon to judge. The obvious is just the beginning."

If you can find me another 10 blogs similar to this, i throw you this very challenge, any blogger at the age of 20-21 years old, posting posts like this, then you're right. I'm just an ordinary person, nothing special, just have to go to the office and work from 8am to 5pm on weekdays. Go home, whine and complain that my job sucks, and my boss is picking on me. I'll be "realistic" then, under your definition.

So many big dreams, but again and again, it ends up to feasibility.

But then again, feasibility is so subjective. Stories of Bill gates, Lim Goh Tong, Thomas Edison and many other successful entrepreneurs has somehow defy the "logic" of human standards and introducing systems and products like no other.

Well, at least one thing's certain, they did what they loved and they did it for the bigger picture.

I think it's about time to bid farewell to my old timid entrepreneur identity. If I want to start changing the world, it's not going to start off like this.

At first glance, I almost wanted to think this was a joke. But abiding to my principles, never conclude too soon, even though it seems as if there is all to is already.

He's 13 years old. An entrepreneur in the United States.

In this video, he claims to earn a total revenue of 1 Million dollars by the end of this year, 2008.

And apparently, his mentor.. or some guru, claims that he's going to beat the record as the youngest and most successful entrepreneur ever recorded in history.

I decided to do some investigation and profile reading. My, for his age to come up with such a website for his company, it's truly impressive. A team of 4 and all still schooling, it's really something.

On my personal side however, I'm having a difficult situation. Every mentor/entrepreneur/gurus always have this one same rule - Do something that you're really passionate about.

I like to bake, I mean the joy and fun of the end result is truly captivating. But deep down, I'm not sure if this is really what I want to do for the next decade or so. At the same time, I'm fighting against time, sure is tough to decide.

God, I'm leaving it all to you..!

Opportunity. Seizing for one?

This is the current scene at the United States but at the local scene?

There aren't any efficient organization in Malaysia to do a thorough research or survey to know the statistics in details but observe around you, compare 10 years ago and today, do people eat at home more often, or outside?

Admit it, do you like doing the dishes? I don't.

Do you like to stress yourself wondering what to cook for the family? And ensure that each and every member doesn't have any problems devouring your food?

"You know I don't like spicy food... "

"I HATE MUSHROOMS!"

These are a few factors, just to name a few. But mainly, the market is becoming more sophisticated by the day.

"If I can afford it, why not?"

After all, we're encouraged to spend, to keep the economy flowing on a healthy basis. Even tipping is slowly becoming a policy here.

"Westlake Village, California restaurateur, who projects revenue of $30 million for 2008, recommends hiring professionals--including a restaurant consultant, who understands industry policies and licensing, food standards, personnel issues and more. She also recommends hiring an accountant who can handle the books, taxes and bills. Use these professionals only for the services you require. I've yet to find a service that provides a company all the necessary services to start up a restaurant so that equates to a lot of independence.

But not independence in terms of doing all the accounting, stock counting, licensing on my own .. I can if I wanted to, but is it worth the time and effort?

I'm referring to searching and filtering for trustworthy individuals who can and will deliver their duty. Individuals who has high potentials of becoming great business partners and shares the same vision and goal.

Pots of gold are lying everywhere. We can see them and we're digging for them. The only difference is - the time factor.

Much has been said, nothing has been heard so far.

I'll still patiently and diligently search for potential individuals. After all, great partners don't come by easy.

Just a tribute to Ray Kroc, the Father of the Fast Food industry.

He was 51 years old when McDonalds first opened their doors to the public. He was a milkshake machine salesman.

He saw the opportunity when the business was beginning to bloom and catching its pace. Problem is, there was only one restaurant in town.

He approached the brothers and propose the idea of franchising. Soon enough in 2 years time, he has his very own McDonald's restaurant.

However, things wasn't easy for him as the brothers kept requesting to filter through his ideas and systems he wanted to implement. Ray Kroc then decided to buy over the entire company to himself. And true enough he did.

Ray Kroc was a genius in terms of creating a system where diners always have the same fantastic dining experience at McDonald's by ensuring all franchises owns the same facilities and implement the same system. All products will be measured and pricing will be the same.

Today, McDonald's is the icon of the fast food industry, all thanks to Ray Kroc, a 51 years old milkshake machine salesman.

If you're not interested in what I'm proposing, what you can do to help out is by looking around you. Do you have an uncle who has been sharing that he's been looking for opportunities to work out with? Wanting to invest into a highly potential business that will earn millions?

It doesn't matter how old that person is, or who that person is. It's the mindset and passion that counts.

MBPJ Licensing

Earlier on we went all the way to Menara MBPJ via public transport which is visible from Taman Jaya LRT station. Wanted to apply a legal license for our stall to avoid any complications when the authorities pay us a visit.

As first timers, we had to ask around for directions to get to the respective department.

After paying RM1 for the form, the officer asked us to read through the "Garis Panduan Permohonan Permit Penjaja Sementara Bermasa."

Allow me to read them to you. (I translated them into English for your convenience.)

1. Introduction

To consider the needs of consumers and bussinessman on the need of purchasing foods and drinks during the morning and evening with the concept of "buy and take home" at the location set by the council.

2. Terms and Conditions for Application of License.

a. Application is opened to citizens of Malaysia and the priority of consideration in applying for license is given to residents of Petaling Jaya in the respective place.
b. Please prepare 2 new photos according to the passport measurement, the filled up application form along with a copy of your Identification Card.
c. Applicant must be 18 and above to qualify for an application.
d. Mr/Ms is not qualified to apply if any of your husband/wife already applied a permit or have an existing stall license from the council.
e. All application must be tagged along with the location's map and photos of the site for the location being applied for.
f. Application is needed to hand in the from which has been filled at the department of stall licensing, 3rd floor at the tower of MBPJ.

Okay.. it goes on and on, we roughly know the ground rules.

Thing is, there's only one rule which we cannot seem to abide,

a. The business hours that are allowed are from 7.00am until 10.00am or 4pm until 7pm. Only ONE businessman is allowed at the stall during the opening hours.

What rationale is that?

I don't supposed you see stall owners obediently packing up their stalls during 10am or 7pm?

Susah, memang susah.

Fight Choreography

Watched this movie on my anniversary.

I'm not going to type a full review on this movie, more on the fight choreography. After all, 2 biggest Hollywood martial art celebrities collaborates in this movie along with legendary fight choreographer Wu Ping, it's pretty much anticipated to see some mind blowing fight scenes.

I do admire the effort of the animators behind the scenes, a job well done for such a movie.

On the contrary, the plot is predictable and typical, the last thing you want to do is to watch it a second time.

Speaking of choreography, the chinese martial art always amuses me the most.

It's just a matter of time before directors and producers start hiring these people as hardcore stunt men. Their precision is almost close to perfection and the best part is, there's no strings attached.

Yet, there's always one main issue I always look forward in a fight choreography, which are moves that are impressive to be in "matrix mode". Yet again and again, it never seem to happen. By far, only 2 movies i watched that really made me longing to watch the entire scene again and again.

The Matrix. (This video is rather soft, you'll have to tune up the volume.)

The moves may be rather artificial, yet it's the flow of the choreography along with the concept of "matrix moves" that really blows me off.

I do understand that those moves are clearly not chinese martial art, but my point here is the concept of the "matrix moves" that emphasizes and enhance the entire fighting scene.

Ordeal of Entrepreneurs

A fragrant and sweet taste flows through and yet a bitter stabbing pain through the heart and passion prevails.

That thought went through my mind as I drank our very own float to avoid wastage of the float.

A staggering sales of 36 cups sold in an hour, dropped to 14 cups.

However, we've decided to temporarily postpone the business until our next major step of rebranding has fully taken place.

Much planning has been done, I leave the rest to God.

Revelation

For those who's been wondering the image of our floats stall, located at the front our ex secondary school - your patience shall not be tested any further.

There's nothing to hide, as we've already publicly displayed the stall and hoping for a good response in the market.

Having said that, it is also understood that there wasn't much in depth planning of the design as our budget is really tight.

We did not have any expert consultants or mentor, any graduates in business for the matter.

By having assistance from experts or at least a certain sufficient amount of knowledge on designs and how to creatively tackle the budget problem, I would say the stall would appear to be much more appealing.

I mean, I'm sure by now, you've come across many different types of stalls consisting of burger stalls, nasi lemak stalls, ching nong pao stalls, mata air kucing stalls, jenny hong's stalls, kuih-muih stalls, ice kacang/cendol stalls, bubble tea stalls, pisang goreng stalls, taiwan sausage stalls, rojak stalls, satey stalls . .

But the design of our stall is nothing close to that.

With some mediocre skills of adobe photoshop, some items from home, some products from Ikea, some products from Jaya Jusco and its home centre and some products from Giant, we manage to create a really one of a kind stall.

Without fail, we have anonymous faces giving an awkward stare or sneering away when they noticed the existence of our stall.

My relatives did enquire about what we're up to. And every time we inform them about the stall, somehow i got the feeling the image of the stall is not going to meet up their expectations. Even Gary is not too keen on sharing the news.

Well, one fine day, we'll look back at this and just laugh our heads off. But all of this definitely worth every single sweat and tears.

I guess probably by now, you'll be questioning,

"ENOUGH WITH THE WORDS! PICTURES!?"

Operator, the line is dead.

I'm pretty sure by now your exposure to certain varieties of advertisements consist a dialogue between an operator and a consumer.

Often time, it's a foreign one, specifically the United States.

Recently, I've contacted a few major companies to investigate and do some purchases for my stall. It's vital to get your products at the lowest cost to cut down your budget.

Companies like FNN was decent in terms of their operator service. Just some minor miscommunication which led me to another 2 more calls in order to reach the appropriate department.

After that I contacted Walls ice cream. The operator who answered my call had a decent service too. However, after requesting me to contact their supplier, who was a Digi user (Digi sucks and yes, that's only thing I'm extremely bias about), this was roughly how the dialogue went. (The dialogue is summarized to the important points only)

Me : Hi, ms XX.

XX : Halo.

Me : Is it possible for me to purchase your product directly instead of buying from the hypermarket?

XX : Yes yes, you can.

Me : What is the minimum requirement to make an order?

XX : 10 cartons. That'll be 6 tubs of ice cream.

Me : Okay. How much that'll be?

XX : How much ah.. er.. err...

(10 seconds later)

XX : Can you contact this person? Her number is 016-DIGISUCKS.

After contacting her and investigated the pricing, I did some calculations to do a comparison between buying from them directly and from a hypermarket.

Wa-lla!

The price has no difference or whatsoever.

Instantly, I contacted Ms. XX to find out whether she got the pricing messed up or anything like that.

XX : Ohh.. you see ah, the hypermarket make big orders one. Big order got ..

Me : Discount?

XX : Big order got discount. They order at least 50 cartons ..

I was thinking in my mind, that'll be 300 tubs.. and the fact that certain hypermarkets keep running out of stock begins to cause suspicion.

To my dismay, we had no choice but to resume purchasing from hypermarkets since there's any difference.

Meanwhile, humorous encounters with operators such as kickapoo and MBPJ occurred.

The kickapoo operator was literally whispering on the phone. I had to glue my ears so that I could at least grasp a gist of what she was uttering.

It was until a certain point I had to request to increase her volume.

Me : What..? I, I can't hear you. You're speaking really soft, can you like, speak louder?

Angry Kickapoo Operator : MY BOSS' LINE IS ENGAGED. CAN YOU CALL BACK LATER?

Meanwhile, the MBPJ operator was.. well, rather ..

Operator (Machine, fast paced) : Terima kasih kerana menghubungi MBPJ. Untuk *mutter mutter*, tekan "0". Untuk mengulangi, tekan bintang.

Obviously, the rational choice would be to click the star button.

Operator (Machine, fast paced) : Terima kasih kerana menghubungi MBPJ. Untuk *mutter mutter*, tekan "0". Untuk mengulangi .. (the line got cut off).

I had to redial and was obliged to click the "0" button.

The first line I said to the operator was,

"Do you converse in english?"

"Yes I do."

I didn't mean to offend her but it's not like I had choice of,

"For english, dial 1."

"Untuk Bahasa Melayu, tekan dua."

Just one last experience with operators, our most familiar and often called operator.

McDonald's delivery service.

During peak hours, you usually get 2 replies. One makes you angry and the other really makes you angry.

"Sorry sir, the nearby outlet at your area is busy. Can you wait for another 45 minutes to an hour?"

That reply, makes you angry.

"Sorry sir, we cannot receive anymore orders. We are fully occupied."

Now that, really makes you angry.

Anyhow, it was 9p.m., when I made my order, stomach was growling and I received the first reply.

Fine, I'll wait. Since it's late and I don't want to go out and dine. I'm paying for the delivery service anyways.

1 Hour later.

1300-13-1300.

The same operator picked up my call.

Me : Where's my food? It's already an hour and I don't see it yet.

Operator : Oh, can you wait another 25 minutes?

Me : 25 minutes!? Excuse me, I'm really hungry.

Operator : Hahaha.

HE LAUGHED. Now that really ticks me off. He thinks I'm cracking a joke.

Me : Is there any way, McDonald's can compensate my time and starvation? Because this is one really dissatisfied customer.

He knew I was serious when I mentioned that I'm really hungry. He quickly changed his tone.

Operator : No sir, there's nothing we can do about it.

Hmm, I'm lovin it huh?

The Board of Directors look out for each other, not for the profit. Sharing the same vision, the same goal of the company and achieving greater heights together.

If you're so successful, why aren't you as equally as wealthy as the 19 year old teenager who opened his own boutique?

The definition of a successful individual is not by what he/she owns but who he/she is.

Opportunities are lurking everywhere. It's whether we're there to seize them.

Yet, at the end of the day, it's all about the "Calling".

Some say there are those who are born to do "great things". Fact or myth, we can do great things, if we really put ourselves to it.

For the past 2 weeks, Gary, me and my gf(Li Her) has finally gained the courage and motivation to step out into the market and being establishing our credibility.

We sold - Floats. Yeah, the one you see at A&W's, but ours are homemade recipes.

Compared to my college mates who are busy at their internship . . my, looking at them expressing themselves at their blogs on how hectic they are and being exhausted.

Thing is, why am I out there, deploying a stall while they are out there working on their internship, the piece of paper that declares that you've accomplished your diploma only interprets main thing - it equates you to an employee.

There's absolutely nothing wrong being an employee. Don't get me wrong.

Employees establishes a company. Good employees establishes a credible company.

I need them.

It's the vision of ExO to be the world's most renowned organization of branding each of our employee. From the dishwasher, all the way to the directors of the organization.

I learn a theory that implies individuals with a distinctive mindset attracts another individual with the similar mindset. I'm counting on that theory.

Question is, how do I pop the conversation with my parents?

Yet, at the end of the day, all my hope and strength, I lay it unto God.

Who would thought that, by throwing all of these on to a floor, would bring you - Hip Hop?

"It's my passion and the attention," expressed hip hop dancer Kelvin Ng Kaixiong, 20 this year.

He started dancing in 2002, when he was in secondary school. He had a crew but it didn't last long due to a transfer of school.

"A dream crew would be a crew where everyone can click and dance, willing to learn from mistakes and not be afraid from failures," when asked about his idea of a dream crew.

The next upcoming hit of reality show in the U.S. would be "America's best dance crew".

Kelvin brought the attention of this crew to the blog, named "Jabbawockeez".

They brought an interesting perspective into hip hop. Not only the power to amuse but also the power to entertain.

From choreographing dance moves of such a slow paced song,

into a really impressive performance, it's really worthwhile to look up into their other performances.

This video is one of their latest performance in the reality show,

adapting and infusing their style of the legendary king of pop, Michael Jackson, this 5 minutes video is a must watch.

Their synchronization brought my standards of evaluating other dance crews to another level, impressive and intriguing.

Yet, the most enjoyable part about their performances is their strong sense of humour, hitting to every beat of the song.

"YES, definitely!" an immediate reply from hip hop dancer Kelvin Ng when asked whether he would join the crew if he had the opportunity to.

Their current closest competitor is Kaba Modern.

"Compared to Kaba, Jabba's passion for dancing is seen by looking into their eyes, they definitely have my support and vote," expressed hip hop dancer Kelvin Ng.

In 1997, the internet café trend arrived at our shores.

“Yes, it was 1997 when the first internet café invaded into my hometown, Ipoh,” says pro gamer Wu Meng Soon, at the current age of 21 this year.

During that period, internet cafés were sprouting on a slow scale, solely meant for surfing at websites and sending e-mails. Charging at a cutthroat price of RM4 per hour, internet cafes did not appeal to the youngsters of that era.

Internet cafes were also name as cafes, simply with the reason of serving food and surfing on the internet at once. However, it was just a matter of time before realizing that the idea of dining at the computer table was not feasible.

Trend Maker

World renowned PC game, “Half-life” was created by Sierra Studios at 1998, was soon introduced to internet cafes here. A science fiction first-person shooter game, developed by Valve Software made a tremendous change in the internet café industry. Starting off with the change of the term “Internet café” into “Cyber Café”, this first person shooter game makes no room for players to dine and game simultaneously. Yet, it was until Valve Software saw the opportunity and potential of the cyber gaming industry among the cyber cafes, “Counter Strike”, a developed first person shooter game, consisting of counter terrorist battling it out with the terrorist in different maps with different objectives.

Immediately, cyber cafes sprouted like mushrooms after a rain all over Malaysia. The game was fancied and welcomed by Malaysians enormously that players keep crowding the cyber cafes all around the clock, beginning from morning until the wee hours of the day.

“We would even skip school to just have hours of fun at the Cyber Café,” claimed by many players who are students at secondary schools and colleges during the hype of the trend.

The trend did not begin with just the arrival of Half-life and Counter Strike but also with the fact that it a means of escape from the dreadful studies of students from their school life. It also allows them to dwell in another realm of challenging their egos and building their fame in the cyber gaming world.

Currently, the trend appeals to majority of players from the age 16 to 24. Students and employees in their uniforms could be seen gaming in the cyber cafes.

“Most players retire from the gaming world at the age of 22 to 24, supposedly getting serious into their studies and career life,” said pro gamer Wu Meng Soon.

Detrimental or Beneficial?

At this era of the second millennium, it is a common trend for players at cyber cafes to game until wee hours in the morning, neglecting their sleep, family time and expenses.

“When we game, we game hard,” claims pro gamer Wu Meng Soon, which also goes with the nickname of susu.

When asked whether he regretted involving himself into the trend, he expresses the priceless experiences he had while going serious into gaming.

He met various players from different backgrounds, coming all the way from Singapore.

Furthermore, his passion for gaming also motivated him to take a big step of organizing a team to compete in tournaments. The leadership experiences boost his confidence and character as well as learning to deal with players to create a strong teamwork.

He and his team has participated in nationally acknowledged tournaments in the cyber gaming industry such as WCG (World Cyber Games), operated by Korean company International Cyber Marketing, ACG (Asia Cyber Games) and WGT (World GameMaster Tournament).

Each tournament requires strict and disciplined training, to ensure victory in hand.

“If you’re going all at it, 3 weeks before the tournament arrives, a minimum of 6 hours mind drilling training is compulsory,”

“Otherwise, you don’t stand a chance to even enter semi-finals,” expressed pro gamer Wu Meng Soon.

He also describes the intense focus of forming strategies and tactics to implement in his team according to their skills and personality.

On top of that, his social skills improved due to the fact that team mates in his team has conflicts among each other, disliking certain attitude or style of playing of each other and he as a leader in the team would have to resolve those conflicts in the most ethical and professional way.

“I tried to make them speak out during discussion, but they refuse to, so I had to deal with them personally,” when asked to state the other problems involved when attempting to resolve the conflicts between the members.

Other obstacles during training such as spending family time, girl friends, working schedule and school assignments get into the way while trying to obtain maximize performance of the team’s effort in training.

“Players who wish to form a team must be prepared to face all these obstacles, but overall, it’s a worthy effort,” he said with a smile.

Game on?

Question is, how long will this cyber gaming trend last?

“The main factor behind this trend, is not the players, not the location of the cyber café, not the economy or the politic of the country but rather how well the game developers create their games,”

“If without fail, game developers identify and comprehend the gaming trend among the players, adding on to fresh and creative concepts, players will continue to flood the cyber cafes,” pro gamer Wu Meng Soon explains.

As long as this trend lasts, it brings great profit for investors into cyber cafes.

“During peak hours, average of RM2,600 which is from 5p.m. until 1a.m. is earned,” states Chow Kah Hou, an employee of Blitzone, located at Damansara Jaya, Petaling Jaya.

That equates a total earning of RM100,000 and above per month for Blitzone, which has 120 computers operating in the premise.

At weekends, Blitzone will be so packed with players that it spills over to other competitors nearby. It is rumored that the management intends to expand to the 2^nd floor to keep up with the response of the players.

By witnessing all 7 wonders, tasting all the world's renowned dishes, listening to all sorts of genres, feel a variety of feelings and emotions & last but not least, smelling all sorts of odours and fragrances would make you a more creative individual?

Perhaps, a more artistic person. (This view has a high possibility of biasness)

Critical Thinking.

Being analytical and have in depth interpretation of subjects around the individual, despite of the boundaries being set.

Efficiency or you?

27 days since i last posted anything on this screen.

But thanks to the "support" of others, i've made myself to take at least attempt to reignite the passion for blogging.

As for today, just a food for thought.

Ever since my departure from the world of multi-level-marketing, it always occur to myself, every minute we breathe, every moment, in whatever we're doing, are we being lazy or just being ourselves?

Does glaring at the monitor for 5 hours surfing around blogs and updates, listening to jazz music while having your mom nagging at you to do something useful - makes you, you?

Would going to the mamak at the wee hours to have a great chat and laughter while sharing ideas and perspectives of different aspects in life, and ending up waking up at 5 in the evening would be detrimental in terms of efficiency or is it just being who you are?

We also can find individuals who work to their bones, despite the fact that they already have sufficient supplies probably for the next for months and yet still proceed with their daily routine of hectic activities of work. Are they being who they are? Or are they just missing the big picture of life itself?

Sharing what i've learned from Sociology, i was told that we never stop growing, we never stop learning , we never stop choosing to accept and reject whatever lessons or experiences that come toward us until our very last breath.

Well, of course, at the end of the day, we can also sum all of these up with just one phrase -

It's either you're extraordinarily efficient or extraordinarily lazy.

Just got back from Genting's. Really exhaustive, 3D2Ns.

Anyhow, it was worth the trip, more details on my next post.

As for now, as the title says, i fill something up to indicate my existence still lingers.

Ever wondered really awkward and odd advertising from other businesses? And some that really puzzles you what they are really trying to sell?

It was quite some time back already, where i had a meal with my gf's group of friends in Sunway Pyramid (not at Phase 2 mind you) , they were stopping by at the wash closet and this poster just seem to grip my sight without haste.

Appealing as it is, i drew my phone out and started snapping pictures of it. My girlfriend stepped out of the washroom and was curious with my actions. As soon as she had a glance of the poster with my detailed presentation of my perspective towards the poster, she was disgusted and demanded to depart from that area.

Anyhow, I shall present my detailed perspective of this print ad,

Firstly, I hope that this is not the owner of the restaurant, otherwise this ad can prove to be deadly. With that sort of stare towards your eyes, even the males will feel that it's an obligation to add more security towards their sacred area.

"That's a rapist stare, without doubt."

My girlfriend rolled her eyes and wanted to me to put a halt on continue analyzing the poster. But i can't just end here, because,

the headline was too magical to look away.

A rapist stare and a magical dining experience .. what a fascinating combo.

A few steps away from that poster, apparently, they had sequel to it :-

At first glance,

"It's not that bad .. "

But wait, have a closer look,

" I can read your every movement .. "

Putting the body copy aside, adding on their prequel of this ad and wa-lla!

This entire ad campaign can prove to be either a real attention grabber for a dining place or a secret passage to a den of rapists.

I hope my review isn't too harsh, but that is it for now.

Free publicity? Maybe.

Perhaps, the fact that the location of the outlet is rather out of place balanced this post of publicity charity.

It's located at the 2nd floor, along the row of burger king and yoshinoya (Yes, i noticed, publicity for them too.) at 1 Utama shopping complex. Yet, the contribution from the nearby outlet at The Curve seem to do a good job. Despite the drawback of the location, many PJ folks would identify the trademark with haste.

My,my, i just realized it is rather difficult to find the logo on google.com ..

Anyhow, here it is,

Yup, the current all time frenzied donut.

Me and Gary still can't comprehend the sudden craze of PJ folks over these donuts.

Yet, if you observe close enough on the image above, you will seem to notice a rather unfamiliar phrase beneath the logo,

Was Big Apple's slogan - "Always Fresh Always Tasty"?

With the power of an index finger, the truth is revealed,

And with decent skills of peeling stickers ..

Well, well.. what do we have here?

In this sort of scenario, a few speculations can be made..

1.) The Owner of Big Apple was a secret admirer of PappaRoti franchise and wanted to give tribute to the Cafe in disguise.
2.) The factory that was responsible for printing the paper bags of Big Apple messed up with their order along with PappaRoti. Instead of reprinting, they decided to cut their loss by producing Big Apple stickers and paste them over the PappaRoti paper bags.
3.) Rotiboy was obedient and did not follow PappaRoti's footsteps.
4.) It's a peel and win contest, who finds the Pappa first wins a life time supply of donuts!

As far as i'm concerned, these paper bags was distributed at the 1utama outlet. Yet, honestly speaking, it would be a horrible decision to cut cost by distributing such bags for the trade of branding power.

I strongly believe, you can never find Starbucks doing anything like that.

Bear in mind,They are hoping into the bandwagon too .. as in the frenzy. Big Apple better treat their branding power lightly, although i have yet to see any J.CO donuts within my sight.

Last but not least,
You better start buckling up, stale and empty filled donuts won't bring you far in the competition. The days where i had joyful childhood memories of dunkin donuts seem to be erased . .

Pardon me for the absence of mouth watering images of donuts. Due to the fact that my pockets are not filled with any green by posting this post up, this is as much as i will go.

The Addictive Hand Held Console!

Which Console would be really addictive?

The PSP?

The Nintendo DS?

Perhaps a friend of mine, Ean Chan may lend a helping hand .. after all, he is a collector of consoles.

Note: Image is on an exaggeration basis. Please do not find him for these consoles.

But then again, because he IS a collector, he might not pick sides . .

Well, how it all started was when my girlfriend bought her Nintendo DS. And at the same time, Anderson bought this PSP too.

Of course, my hands were constantly on the Nintendo DS whenever my girlfriend comes over .. yeah not a good thing.

Comprehend my emotions! Gamers, I plea for your support!

I was browsing through her R4 ... and then, I saw it :

As a supporter since Final Fantasy 7, man this game really bring back memories. The classic turn basis style, cute characters, quest to complete, training your character's level and last but not least, the Chocobos!

Gossip can break the strongest bond . .

Proverbs 16:28 A perverse man stirs up dissension, and a gossip separates close friends.

How true, if you really take a good thought about it.

Sadly, many don't.

The problem with gossipers is that they do not comprehend the definition of gossip.

Gossip -noun
:idle talk or rumor, esp. about the personal or private affairs of others.

That is a very general definition of gossip.

The main issue with gossiping is that it meddles with - Trust.
And Trust is a vital criteria in every single friendship.

Allow me to present my thoughts and perspectives.

These are the few factors why one would want to gossip :

"If it covers my weakness by presenting his/her weakness, why not?"

"I need the attention, desperately."

"This is what I do best, an "information" provider."

"I have malicious intentions in dealing severe damage towards the person's reputation."

"If everyone else is doing it, why can't I?"

There are many other factors to it as well, but I hope you roughly get the picture.
Most of these factors are trying to convey one simple message which is - self centeredness.

What they don't realize is, by doing such a simple act, it leads to a vicious cycle.

Allow me to elaborate.

Assuming, there are 5 people involved in this scenario,
Kenny, George, Edward, Sally and Angelica.*
* Names are for illustration purpose only.

It's their first day at work. They just met each other, shaking hands and all except for Edward.

A really timid and shy man, he tends to stay away from the crowd.

However, interestingly enough, whenever he glance at someone, he tends to present a snobbish outlook. Yet, only George knew about the real truth, that Edward did not intend to stay away from them just because he thinks he's too good for them or anything similar to that idea.

Edward was just feeling shy.

Angelica saw this gleaming opportunity. The opportunity to gossip.

She also knew that her lack of participation in projects are beginning to be noticed.

The others haven't really got to know Edward yet, and before that event took place, Angelica already took the first strike.

"Guys, have you heard about Edward's previous profiles? It's unbelievable for the company to hire someone like him!"

"What you've heard Angelica?"

"Horrible anger management, many failed projects, poor attendance .. the list is really long!"

"And trust me, after working for 10 years, there's no way I can get this mistaken. Just becareful when you're working with him. If possible, request to work with someone else!"

George heard the gossip, confronted Angelica and questioned her act. He thinks that the matter must be clarified.

Angelica was familiar with these sort of individuals, after gossiping for countless years.

She twist and turn the story, confusing George's mind to be convinced with her words. George then decides to remain silent and ignore the matter.

Soon enough, Edward was isolated for something that wasn't true to begin with. His profile was clean and was transfered over to this company for a better salary.

He's not aware that Angelica was behind all this and even spread good impressions of her towards people he just met with although he doesn't really know her well yet.

As time passed by, Sally and Kenny realized that Edward was constantly performing and never came late to duty unless for exceptional occasions. They raised their eyebrows toward Angelica's earlier comments.

Angelica quickly formed a backup plan as she want things to continue the way she wants it.

"A fantastic actor isn't he? Trust me, it's just a matter of time before he actually shows it. But it's best that you stay away from him."

Edward was really lost, unsure of why the other workmates are isolating him and started to become depressed. Socially deprived at work as well as at home.

Slowly but surely, his performance at work was affected and due to his sleepless nights, he was late for work, on a consistent basis.

George still knew the truth and also knew what was going on all along after doing some investigation. He hinted the others about Edward and told them to try giving him a chance.

Alright. Full stop here for the short story.

I'm not sure how applicable this scenario is to you, but in this scenario, there are few things to consider :-

For Kenny and Sally :

Is it really that difficult to investigate the truth on their own? Instead of relying and being dependent on someone else instead of themselves? How credible can someone else be more than yourself?
Being comfortable with things are, having someone else as a victim, they prefer to stay in the shadows. Problem is, if Angelica can be so bold to protect herself, why can't she do the same towards them when it comes to dealing with the boss?

For George :

Knowing the truth has a burden on his back. If he chooses to ignore or take the matter lightly, how is Edward ever going to trust him if he discovers the truth?
Angelica would also seize that point, prepare it for emergency occasions to keep her on a secured zone. Not going to help George at all, won't it?

For Angelica :

She thinks that she's in the best position in the world. In my opinion? Far from it. To actually step into her shoes would be unimaginable. The fact that she cultivated the habit to gossip, the entire office becomes an award winning drama. Who's who? The thing is, no one dares to pour out their true colours as they fear to be gossiped, rather, always seeking the opportunity to attack another. Ironic as it is, no one trust no one.
What's worse, because Angelica was the director and producer as well as the main actress of the drama, she lost her entire identity, only to realize that she doesn't know who she is anymore. Putting more and more lies and acts in front of others only to "survive" another day.

Finally, for Edward :

Continue to be who you are. It's true that the life we live in is truly unfair. The more you try to justify, the more you are accused. But it's only unfair if you live your entire life without acknowledging God's existence.
God is still the final judge.

The remedy to this deadly poison?

Ephesians 4:29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

True enough, if you want to bring up a matter to someone, make certain of what's your purpose of doing so.

Is it to aid the person in covering his weakness and improve himself? To discuss with others on how to help this someone so that it benefits everyone?

Or,

Is it because you just despise this person and the way he did things, and you had to make sure that you look good?

Instead of focusing on gossiping, why not complimenting?

The Bible offer great truths and strength, which explains the eternal joy that remains in my soul. If Edward isn't a Christian, it is only normal for him to morph into a monster.

Forgive me, if this post seems to take a rather serious and personal tone. But I strongly believe that this topic shouldn't be left neglected. Many innocent victims don't deserved to be treated that way, that includes the gossiper him/herself.

It has been almost half a year now, since i invested quite a sum of money into this scheme.

The most disappointing part about the whole thing is that, even the government can actually broadcast this company's opening on RTM. Making the whole thing really credible.

But what really made me and my other friends to invest even further, is due to this uncle.

He was introduced to us by one of our friends, someone to be "knowledgeable and skilled".

He told how his son joined and made hundred thousands that even himself could not help it but to invest in as well.

We open up lots under his name, and he gave many promising words.

Convincing it was indeed.

It was only to my dismay when i realized something was wrong when everything was silent and remain stagnant. All effort was futile in searching for a clear answer.

So i decided to make contact with him, to find out what's going on.

Here's the dialogue via sms -

Daryl : Hi, this is Daryl. It’s been some time since we interact. Is it possible that we can meet up?

Uncle : HI DARYL, can u elaborate a little how we met each other? I’m sorry, I really can’t figure out, u must help me on this.

Daryl : We met through XYZ*. Regarding IPC?

Uncle : Oh yes, pardon me. How’s life with u? When do u think it’s convenient to meet? Has XYZ told u about my new Company? You can go online to www.quantum88.com to have a look, n give ur comments. I started it with a friend of mine, just last month.

Daryl :Can we meet this Wednesday?

Uncle : Ok, but what time? My office is in Shamelin Perkasa, n I’m there around 3pm -11pm or I can meet u around Damansara Jaya n pick u up. Try to arrange a few of u if possible.

Daryl : Are u interested in purchasing lots in IPC? I have quite a few.

Uncle : No. I got to support my own company, n moreover I don’t think ipc is going to survive long. It’s b’cos Security Commission has blacklisted them n many people don’t want to get involved with them.

Daryl : Wow, why didn’t u mention it months back? Or at least when u’ve found out the truth? How am I supposed to trust on ur quantum?

Uncle : How can I mention something that has not happened yet those months back? It only got blacklisted 2 months after we meet. Well, at least, Quantum88 is on d platform of a Licensing co. sub out from EMI, Sony&Bmg, Universal n all d big music labels with RIM leading d enforcement on illegal downloads. All of them r our partners.

Daryl : Not interested. Next time, becareful on what u promote. U’ve not affect ur own integrity but many others, including my friends and family. Hope u’ll find true meaning in life. God bless.

Uncle : I don’t blame u for having such a mentality, it’s part of growing up. You need God to bless u a lot. Stop sms me cos I don’t like to communicate with a kiasu like u. You must understand it’s u guys who already gone into ipc b4 we know each, don’t put d blame on others. You dare to gamble u must accept consequences. Such as in d share market, whether u make or not. I invested around 500 lots, who am I to blame? Grow up kid!

Updates on the progress../ How to survive in college?

They say, progress is a very subjective matter.

But really, I'm unsure whether I can apply that to this matter.
18 September .. *counts* That's around 1 month+ of absence. I can imagine the horror on one business manager's face if he finds out that there's no report on his desk regarding the progress of the company for such a period time.

And perhaps, due to such a "progress", subconsciously, a compelling force was laid unto fingers from typing down any letter on this blog.

Of course, they are other factors which contribute to such unwanted event.

Financially, emotionally .. and the list goes on. I won't go so much details on all that for now.

However,

I've learned and will always remember this phrase from my beloved tuition teacher, Mrs Khoo -

"Undaunted Spirit"

"undismayed; not discouraged; not forced to abandon purpose or effort: undaunted by failure."

Yes, it'll take that sort of spirit to search for ExO individuals, scattered all over the globe, lingering in places you least expect to find.

I do hope that my blog is able to convey to a considerable amount of coverage and prayerfully come in contact with any ExO.

Critical, focused, determined, positive and most importantly, creative individuals. First to stand out and manage when there's a crisis and wouldn't give up in the darkest days.

At the same time, the term "Survival" can be very subjective too.

For the past month, nothing much has changed. I'm referring to college here by the way.

The main purpose of college is to obtain education and whatever way the individual wishes to manipulate the education for, is up to the person.

College, is also a place where you meet all sorts of different people as well as learning how to work along well with them. Hence, you will be able to witness all the teamwork assignments flooding in.

However, I do not recall college as a place where, you find a group of people you fall in love with, or at least to make yourself think that way, and to stick with them no matter what the circumstances are. To lie, cheat, gossip, act, pretend, neglect or any other "method" to stay in the group.

Frankly speaking, when one enters the corporate world, it's not up to the person to Choose who she/he wants to work with, the employer does. That also means, even if you end up working with a bunch of seniors who push all the workload to you, you have to pull it through too.

Anyhow, to not divert to far away from the topic, the real key element in "surviving", is your mindset. What do wish to achieve in college?

Evaluate critically and carefully on those goals, for whom you're doing it for?

Lose your focus and goals and you will find yourself succumbing to peer pressure, doing things that you find yourself dead shocked to only realize you forgot who you really are.

Let's get down to real business . .

And so, it begins.

The preparation for the big showdown at 2008 must begin now to avoid detrimental effects.

However, to ensure the intended message to be conveyed to the large scope of audience, I must organize this properly.

Firstly, I'm currently building up an organization, or more accurately, a business organization. The name of the organization - ExO (Extraordinaries).

Each member in the organization has unique abilities, specialized in their fields to contribute to the business. After all, the main point of building this organization is to leverage on each other's strength instead of trying to do everything on my own.

Yet, one of the main criteria of being an ExO, is to be an ExO with an attitude. All efforts would be futile if the organization cannot work along efficiently.

Another criteria is that the ExO must be fluent in English. Communication is vital during business meetings.

And of course, without a business mind, there's no point considering this invitation.

Right now, my mini-yet-growing-organization is working on small projects such as R&D and the organization's logo.

College life is catching up on me.

Assignments and exams are becoming more and more demanding on my tight schedule.

The folks at college are still roughly the same. Isolation is really getting familiar with me.

At the same time, I'm looking out for opportunities to fix my finance aspect. Of course, I'm thankful that God has been really merciful to me. I also believe He would bless me with opportunities if it is part of His plan.

Still working on my spiritual side as well. Every night before I close my eyes, I would softly whisper to God's ears, praying for to remain focused on Him and not lose sight.

I apologize for the absence of images in the post. It just occurred to me that there's no necessity for posting any images.

Spiritual Revival . .

My negligence from my beloved Father and LORD has brought many dire repercussion and it gives the chill down my spine to only come to a clear understanding between my stand with God.

The image above, is my assignment for the subject, "Principle of Advertising".

The title of the project is " Presentation of a Purchased Soul ".

We were supposed to advertise ourselves and show others what are our value of ourselves are. Yet, I realized, do I even own my life? The day I accepted Christ, is the day I offered my life to Him.

The image also gave a shock towards my lecturer who's a Muslim and I believe it'll have the same effect to many other individuals. Am I afraid to say that Christ lives in my heart? I'm slowly regaining the courage I once had to declare that - to the World.

I'm very grateful for the guidance of the Holy Spirit to bring me back to Bible Study, helping regaining back my senses of what is real and what's not in my delusional life, what's last for an eternity and what doesn't. And more importantly, the reason I'm still alive yesterday, today and maybe tomorrow.

I've slowly took the steps required to clear the obstacles between me and God. I would like to apologize to all my known ones, peers and relatives, for what I've done that brought pain and anguish into your lives.

Life in college isn't easy. The persecution of being a Christian is stated in the Bible,

“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours." - John 15: 18-20

“Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
— Matthew 5:10-12

Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,
—2 Timothy 3:12

But somehow, I'm very sure that I've not projected the impression of Christ living in me in College yet. Yet everyone is starting to isolate me. My speculations are that all these circumstances are based on the past happenings.

This really bring its toll on me as I'm studying a mass comm course, most assignments are based on group work. "5-8 people per group".

Yet, I really thank God for a friend like Anderson, despite being mocked for being with me all the time, he's still not ashamed to say that I'm his good friend. Thank you too , Anderson, from the bottom of my heart.

But God also answered my prayers as He had been merciful by providing me ways to go through my College life. In this semester, many peers who I did not expect to group with actually came true. If that's not the case, I would end up doing at least "3 members' manpower".

Financially, I'm still not doing very well. What more, December is coming = X month is coming.

Working on all sort of solutions to it, but if God has other plans or me, I'll follow.

Before I end this post, I personally thank those who prayed for me and always been there for me. Thank you dear :)

Animal Rights?

FINALLY THE KITTENS ARE OUT OF MY BLOG!

Alright, I was over reacting but somehow it can't be helped since they were hogging those spots for almost 2 months or so.

Funny as it is, while writing this post, I'm actually wearing the t-shirt for supporting animal rights by my college. And yes, I was part of it .. my position? - Security.

Anyways, do read up about animal rights. YES, they do have rights. After all, their welfare was held on our shoulders when Adam named each and everyone of them.

On the other side of the coin, I tend to raise an eyebrow for those who actually treat their pets with 5 star luxury life style. Individuals suffering in poverty wouldn't even come close to bask in that sort of life.

I apologise, there is no images to entertain your sight. (No animal images especially)

But again, the kittens might reappear again as after I posted this .. it appeared infront of my face . .

They say a picture paint a thousand words yet the thought of how each and every single individual would perceive their thousand words of the image would be horrifying to the author, having their interpretation of the topic far from what the author intended to convey.

Alright, I admit - I don't have any images to post up.

There are of course a respective sum of images lying in my folder at my desktop but the dead truth is that my device is not healed from the merciless assault from the virus. My elder sibling informed me that whatever data left in this device is defiled hence the idea of transferring data outside the computer is rather unlikely. Working on ideas to create a salvation plan for these images . .

Forgive me for beating around the bush, for the reason I wrote this post is actually to spill the milk to my audience.

The closer circle of my friends would be well informed of my financial status, ever since the Multi Level Marketing(MLM) experience is at the worst of its state. Please do not generate the idea that MLM was created to make individuals go bankrupt. There's a long tale to it and I would reserve that tale for another time.

So due to my financial status, I came up with all sorts of ideas from investing into stocks, work loads of roadshow jobs, create an online business DIY forum and right now, to earn by writing reviews and ads clicking to generate a large sum of income.

What I did not know was, the commitment required to be a full time blogger is truthfully demanding. What's worse, your integrity and reputation as a renowned blogger is always evaluated by eyes all over the globe as each post projects the different sides of the blogger, be it the charming or hideous side.

Yet, what I learned after these while, blogging can come in many forms. Personal or commercialized? There are those who are hybrids, trying to have the best of both worlds. That is what I'm trying to do with my blog. However, after a long and deep consideration, I somehow dislike the idea of my peers adjusting their sight at my blog and go off wondering whether this blog actually walk its talk. I did utter that this blog is supposed to update the latest happenings in my life and understanding me better - and that's the talk I'm referring to.

Much has been said but to cut the chase, I've decided to maintain that this blog will be a personal blog. Yes, you'll see flashing ads around here and there and by all means, it is your freedom to click and absorb information from the ads. (By the way, regarding the animal ads around my blog, I did not post them up, the ad companies controls them.)

One last thing before I end this post, my new semester has begun today.

May the thought of my dear viewers regarding the heart of the author to this blog is still beating - may be at a distance.

I'm very much alive still, manipulating my active brain to come up with a satisfactory post.

The ever cursed device which swore its life to serve the Heng residence has once again failed me. The monitor would never cease to project horizontal lines which agitates the sight of anyone at it. In fact, it is speculated that only a quarter of the monitor is still functional.

To my dismay, I have to write this post at my sister's computer. I have to cut things short now, but just to notify my viewers, I'm working on a new concept with this blog. So bear with me alright?

It seems my horrible habit of procrastinating has to come to an end.

Sorry for the awkward introduction.

I'm Daryl, not darrel, daryll or darren. Also known to others as Fook Han.

This post shall serve its purpose by its experimental value and to provoke a sense of living in this blog.

Please, do not be alarmed due to the way i present myself in this blog. I just prefer things around here to be more formal and professional. On the contrary, you are not obliged to converse in this manner while you're in my blog, so just feel free to be yourself and allow others to know you better.

Oh, and yes, I'm sure veteran bloggers would know the ethics of blogging but for visitors, tone your vulgarity down, do not mock, do not spread false rumours and by all means - have an open mind.

I'm open to constructive criticism, I repeat, constructive criticism. As a beginner myself, forgive me if you strongly feel that you need to run over to my doorstep and give me a 2 hour lecture on how to blog. After all, it is really difficult to define what blogging really means nowadays.

The tone of this post.. sounds rather dull. I do comprehend that giving an excuse of writing this blog at 3.40 a.m. is not valid as it IS the normal time for bloggers to blog (at least in m'sia and s'pore). But you have my word of having a more delightful post for the following one and of course, the never failing images and photos posted up too.
